Our Process

Here is what you can expect when you create a custom home entertainment or home automation project. Depending on if your project is for-a new home under construction, renovation, or a simple home electronic installation-there could be more or fewer steps involved.

1. Initial Meeting

The initial meeting with our team will take place either in your home, business or at our showroom. Our team will work with you to understand your vision by discussing your ideas, needs, wants, and, of course, your budget.

2. Review

We will review any blueprints you have (if you are building a new home or renovating), then start designing something amazing! We can also consult with your architect, builder, contractor, or interior designer as required. We will suggest products that will best suit your needs.

3. proposal

We will then present a detailed proposal, room by room, that will transform your dreams into reality. We outline the scope of the work to be done, the costs, and the time-frame required.

4. Pre-wire

Once the proposal is approved, and deposit received, we will meet on-site and walk through your home to identify the exact location of the products we will be installing for you.

5. Equipment

At the appropriate stages we will be ordering and storing products so we can complete the different phase of your job on time.

6. Installation

This is the fun part where it all comes together in your home. We're not finished until your new home entertainment system is installed, fully functional, and you know how things works. We will even give you a lesson so you can run your amazing new system like an expert. And even then, we are just a phone call away for support.

Types of Business Security System Cameras

There are a variety of business security system camera’s available for you to choose from. Simply Automate utilizes camera’s from Uniview and HIK. Camera’s range from 4K Ultra-HD to Smart Pro IP cameras. All cameras are state of the art and will provide you with crisp clear picture quality, ensuring the security of your property and employees. Simply Automate also utilizes LPR (license plate recognition) Camera’s for many businesses such as car washes and those with public parking spaces. Simply Automate can also offer many retail solutions such as POS integration, heat mapping, people counting and remote store inspection. Can I Control my Security System with an App?

Simply Automate is registered provider of alarm.com for your security needs. Alarm.com has a great app that is available for your use to control your security system. This app gives you access to all parts of your security system so that you can make any changes right away, receive alerts and updates and keep an eye on your business.

Do you require an alarm permit to have a monitored alarm system?

Yes, a City of Edmonton Alarm Systems Permit must be purchased prior to the installation of an alarm system. The Alarm Systems Bylaw 10922 requires that all residential and commercial properties have a valid alarm system permit. This permit can be purchased through the Edmonton Police Service. For more details contact the Alarm Control Detail office at 780 421 3410.

An Alarm Systems Permit is not required if your system is being installed in the following towns/cities: Fort Saskatchewan, Stony Plain, Beaumont, Leduc or Spruce Grove.

What happens if there is a power outage?

The Simply Automate commercial security systems run on a cellular path network. In the event of a power outage, a cellular path will still work, ensuring the safety of your company and property.

Is there a contract with SIMPLY AUTOMATE?

Simply Automate offers its clients 3, 4- and 5-year contracts for all Business Security Systems. Contract terms and prices are discussed during your initial meeting with our team members.

Do I have a warranty with SIMPLY AUTOMATE?

All parts and labour are covered under a period of 6 months with Simply Automate. After the 6-month period the client is covered under a warranty with our security provider, Stanley Security. If there are equipment issues after the initial 6-month period, clients should contact Stanley Security who will send out a technician for any repairs.
